About this site

Sentinel Report is an independent monthly review covering Nigerian and West African politics, economics, and security. Founded in 2023, the magazine is built on original reporting and long-form analysis rather than daily news coverage.

Each issue is edited in Lagos and Abuja, with contributions from correspondents across the region. We publish once a month — no breaking news, no ticker — because the forces that actually move the region reward patience, not speed.

We are reader-funded. A free tier delivers each new issue by email; a paid tier opens the full archive and the print edition.
