Corrections Policy

At The Sentinel Report, accuracy is fundamental to our journalism and our responsibility to the public. We are committed to publishing information that is accurate, fair, and properly verified. However, we recognise that mistakes can happen, and we believe that acknowledging and correcting them openly is an essential part of credible journalism.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

Every report, article, and editorial publication is prepared with due attention to factual accuracy, reliable sourcing, and responsible verification. Where an error is identified, we take appropriate steps to investigate and correct it as promptly as possible.

How We Handle Corrections

When an error is confirmed, we will:

  • Correct inaccurate names, dates, figures, quotations, and other factual information.
  • Update misleading or incomplete information where necessary.
  • Clearly acknowledge significant corrections within the affected article.
  • Provide clarification where a published report may have created a misunderstanding.
  • Review the circumstances surrounding significant errors to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.

We do not silently alter substantial factual errors in a way that could mislead readers about what was originally published.

Submitting a Correction

Readers, organisations, public officials, and other interested parties are encouraged to bring factual inaccuracies to our attention.

To request a correction, contact our editorial team through our official contact page. Please include the article title, publication date, relevant passage, and supporting evidence where available.

Every correction request will be reviewed independently. Submitting a complaint does not automatically guarantee a change to published material.

Our Editorial Responsibility

We distinguish between factual errors, legitimate differences of opinion, and disagreements with editorial conclusions. We will correct factual inaccuracies, but we will not change accurately reported information simply because it is uncomfortable or unpopular.

Our principle is simple: accuracy must always come before reputation, convenience, or pressure.

The Sentinel Report remains accountable to its readers and committed to earning their trust through transparency and responsible journalism.
